Les plateformes num\u00e9riques et cr\u00e9atives du continent africain devraient b\u00e9n\u00e9ficier de plus d\\’investissements et de soutien financier. C\u2019est ce qu\u2019estime la Banque africaine de d\u00e9veloppement (BAD). Lors d\u2019une rencontre virtuelle, autour du th\u00e8me \u2018\u2019Le nouveau visage de la collaboration africaine\u2019\u2019, Chinelo Anohu, la directrice du Forum pour l\\’investissement en Afrique de la BAD, a soulign\u00e9 l\u2019engagement de son institution dans ce sens. Le groupe financier Afreximbank et la plateforme de streaming de films Netflix ont \u00e9galement particip\u00e9 \u00e0 ce meeting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Benedict Oramah, le PDG d\\’Afreximbank, a d\u00e9clar\u00e9 que son organisation avait d\u00e9j\u00e0 cr\u00e9\u00e9 un fonds de 500 millions de dollars en janvier 2020 pour aider \u00e0 financer et \u00e0 soutenir le secteur cr\u00e9atif africain et ses industries. Dean Garfield, vice-pr\u00e9sident des politiques publiques chez Netflix, a de son c\u00f4t\u00e9 fait savoir que l\\’infrastructure mise en place au niveau panafricain par le leader mondial du streaming pourrait permettre de relever certains des d\u00e9fis qui affectent la r\u00e9alisation du potentiel cr\u00e9atif de l\\’Afrique. Il a notamment \u00e9voqu\u00e9 le manque de protection de la propri\u00e9t\u00e9 intellectuelle et la fragmentation des syst\u00e8mes de paiement. La question du financement de la cr\u00e9ation du contenu africain demeure probl\u00e9matique. Certains sp\u00e9cialistes estiment qu\u2019il est important que les cr\u00e9ations africaines soient financ\u00e9es majoritairement par des institutions africaines, pour que les revenus g\u00e9n\u00e9r\u00e9s restent en grande majorit\u00e9 sur le continent.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
