O\u00f9 la seule Palme d\u2019or d\u00e9cern\u00e9e est all\u00e9e au film \u00ab\u00a0I am afraid to forget your face\u00a0\u00bb de l\u2019\u00e9gyptien Sameh Alaa. Une premi\u00e8re\u00a0!<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

C\u2019est le jeudi 29 octobre dernier sur La Croisette que la Palme d\u2019or du meilleur court-m\u00e9trage de la 73\u00e8me \u00e9dition du plus grand festival de cin\u00e9ma du monde a \u00e9t\u00e9 attribu\u00e9e. Le film I am afraid to forget your face<\/strong> de l\u2019\u00e9gyptien Sameh Alaa est l\u2019heureux laur\u00e9at. Le rendez-vous incontournable du 7\u00e8 art avait annul\u00e9 son habituelle manifestation de mai en raison de la pand\u00e9mie de coronavirus. Le prix de Sameh Alaa a donc cl\u00f4tur\u00e9 une \u00e9dition symbolique et \u00e9ph\u00e9m\u00e8re. Elle s\u2019est tenue seulement en trois jours, au cours de laquelle ont \u00e9t\u00e9 projet\u00e9s quatre films de sa s\u00e9lection officielle et les projets de la Cin\u00e9 fondation, la section d\u00e9di\u00e9e aux \u00e9coles de cin\u00e9ma.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

La s\u00e9lection officielle de ce mini festival Sp\u00e9cial Cannes 2020<\/strong> \u00e9tait compos\u00e9e de 56 films. Le Jury des 11 courts m\u00e9trages en comp\u00e9tition comprenait des noms c\u00e9l\u00e8bres comme Damien Bonnard, Rachid Bouchareb, Claire Burger, Charles Gillibert, Dea Kulumbegashvili et C\u00e9line Sallette. Ce sont ces jur\u00e9s qui ont consacr\u00e9 \u00e0 l\u2019unanimit\u00e9 \\”I am Afraid to Forget Your Face<\/strong>\\” de 15 minutes de Sameh Alaa.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bas\u00e9 au Caire et \u00e0 Bruxelles, le r\u00e9alisateur a aussi sign\u00e9 les courts m\u00e9trages The Bread, Shadow, Yun Yu, Le Steak de Tante Margaux..<\/strong>. Le film prim\u00e9 raconte l\u2019histoire d\u2019Adam qui, apr\u00e8s une s\u00e9paration de 82 jours, parcourt une route difficile pour retrouver la personne qu\\’il aime, quoi qu\\’il arrive. C\u2019est une premi\u00e8re pour un film \u00e9gyptien de remporter la Palme d\u2019or du court-m\u00e9trage sur La Croisette.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

La r\u00e9compense supr\u00eame du Festival de Cannes.<\/strong><\/em><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Il s\u2019ajoute \u00e0 celui d\u00e9croch\u00e9 le mercredi dernier par Cat dog<\/strong>, un film de 20 minutes d\u2019Ashmita Guha Neogi, \u00e9tudiante \u00e0 l\u2019Institut indien du cin\u00e9ma et de la t\u00e9l\u00e9vision (FTII). Son court-m\u00e9trage d\u00e9voile une relation entre deux fr\u00e8res confront\u00e9s \u00e0 une s\u00e9paration dans leur enfance, et qui a remport\u00e9 le prix principal de la Cin\u00e9 fondation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u00c0 cette occasion sp\u00e9ciale du Festival de cannes, le grand public a remplac\u00e9 les journalistes et critiques accr\u00e9dit\u00e9s, car ces s\u00e9ances, o\u00f9 le port d\u2019un masque et une distance de s\u00e9curit\u00e9 \u00e9taient obligatoires, \u00e9taient ouvertes \u00e0 toute personne ayant fait une r\u00e9servation pr\u00e9alable, via Internet et gratuitement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
